Day 138. Make Up For Ever #306 (Diamond Beige) Eye Shadow [review & swatches]

I don't have many MUFE eye shadows, but among the few I have there are two shades that I love: one is #306 (aka Diamond Beige).

Make Up For Ever #306/Diamond Beige eye shadow

The #306 I own came in the palette in the MUFE Rock For Ever collection from Christmas 2010. The eyeshadow itself is part of the permanent range, though, so you can find it in the classic plastic case as a single eyeshadow or as a refill pan.

#306/Diamond Beige is a warm peachy beige shade with intense golden shimmer. It looks almost bronzy in the pan, but on skin it shows up more brown-beige, even if the golden shimmer is powerful and makes it warm.

While it's pigmented enough on its own, I do think it performs so much better with the help of a primer: the base color is more visible and consistent and the shimmer contained.
It is a bit powdery, but applies and blend easily.

MUFE Diamond Beige/#306 is a perfect shade for an intense neutral look, since there is no way of toning down the shimmer or can be used to accent a more daring look (as suggested by its presence in a palette called Rock For Ever)!
