e.l.f. Studio Cream Eyeshadows in Bronzed, Natural Glow, Teal Party and Purple Pleaser |
these eyeshadows from the e.l.f. studio line are a cream product that can be used alone or as a eyeshadow base to intensify the powder eyeshadow color. All the shades I own have a metallic finish.
This product comes in a big sturdy transparent plastic pot with a black lid, even though the actual product occupies a really small amount of space. Each pot has 10g/0.35oz of product.
These eyeshadows have a 6 month shelf life once opened, but in my experience they last a bit longer before drying. Be careful though if you choose to use this product after the suggested expiration date.
Once they dry, these eyeshadows last about 6 hours without a primer, and about 12 with a primer, with only minor fading and creasing. If layered with a powder product the lasting power improves sensibily.
Today I am providing swatches taken in natural light (top pictures) and with flash (bottom pictures). Further, I did two kind of swatches: one with a single intense swipe of eyeshadow, and one with the same amount of product but blended.
Bronzed is the best shade I own. I think the name is quite misleading as I don't think it's really a bronze shade: it's more a medium brown with a subtle gold shimmer. While it appears quite dark in the pan and when unblended, it is quite natural and wearable when it's blended.
It's really soft and applies evenly.

Overall I really like Bronzed and Teal Party: they are pretty good shades, both alone and as eyeshadows bases. Natural Glow and Purple Pleaser look good in the pan and need work in terms of even application and pigmentation. Still, they are 4€/3$, so I guess they are good value for money!
