Day 5. Almost nude

The look for Day 5 is one of my favorite. It's suitable for work, or just to go out, for the day or for the night. The eye make up is really basic, almost nude, easy to do, but you can play with the lip color, to make the whole look more daring.

Day 5. Almost nude

Products:
- Mac Paint Pot in Quite Natural
- Mac Fluidline in Rich Ground
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyepencil in Baked
- Kiko Super Color Mascara in 04
- Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in 476

On to the eyes!

Day 5. Almost nude - Open eye in natural light.

As you may notice, when the eyes are open, the eyeshadow and the eyeliner are barely visible.
Even if the eyes closed, the make up is really subtle.

Day 5. Almost nude - Closed eye in natural light.
I applied the Mac Paint Pot in Quite Natural with my finger (two layers) and then blended upward with a blending brush. I let the cream shadow dry and the proceeded to line my eyes with the Mac Fluidline in Rich Ground. In the inner conner I used a golden eyepencil to give a little bit of light to the look. I applied a coat of brown mascara. Both the mascara and the eyeliner are in the same tones of the eyeshadow, to keep everything soft and natural.

On my lips I used a pink lipstick that applies sheer but still have good color payoff. Here is where you can play with this look: you can change lipstick and use a bold color to make it more bolder.

And for the swatches and reviews...

Mac Paint Pot in Quite Natural is a brown cream eyeshadow that seems darker and ashier in the pan and in the swatches (below). It dries lighter though, and it's quite wearable. It's creamy and not patchy. It can be used without base or primer, once it's on it's on and it stays wherever you put it. You can also use it as primer with powder eyeshadows. It can be applied with fingers or using brushes with synthetic fibers (first pat it on with a flat brush and then blend out the edges with a soft blending brush).

Mac Fluidline in Rich Ground is a gel liner in a bronzy-brown color. It's my favorite eyeliner: it applies easily, it's smooth and soft, doesn't drag on the lid and last in a long time.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyepencil in Baked is a great color for highlighting. Urban Decay does great eyepencils and this is not different. UD Baked eyeliner is smooth, buttery, and the color is rich and pigmented. It also wears all day for me.

Dior Addict Extreme in 476 is a pink lipstick that applies sheer. The color is still there though. It does not dry on the lips and is pleasant to wear. It last 2/3 hours on me before having to reapply it. I think this shade is really great because it gives your lips a little pit of color without being too much.

One word on the mascara. Here I used the Kiko Super Color Mascara in 04 which is a brown mascara. It has a formula that I adore: it's kind of dry but applies really well, and it's not clumpy at all on the lashes. The brown color is also perfect: dark and not too ashy. It's a good alternative to black mascara for day looks for those of us who don't have dark-dark lashes.

I also bronzed lightly my cheeks with Kiko Sun Bronzing Trio (01 Sculpting Beige; pictured in the product photo). The picture of my cheek turned out awful because this bronzing powder has a light shimmer which got picked up by the camera and made everything sort of blurry. It's a good bronzer, though. The two lighter shades are perfect for my light-medium skin. It's a bit powdery but blends well on the skin.

So, what would you wear on your lips to spice up a neutral eye look?
